Adidas Originals’ vintage Samoa sneaker is back, and the credit goes to Woodie White, founder of the Oyster Holdings streetwear label.
According to Adidas, White expressed interest in reviving the 1977 silhouette with a premium finish that would “point to the future” of fashion. He worked closely with the Adidas design team to find a look that would honor the sneaker’s history particularly its popularity in the 2000s and connect with today’s aesthetic. The monotone shoes come in three different color ways: Vapour Pink, Vapour Gray and Pale Nude with matching cotton laces and truffle-accented outsoles.
The Samoa “Pigskin” pack will hit select retail stores and the Adidas Originals website on May 21.
